PRIVACY NOTICE

We take the issue of data protection very seriously and make every effort to ensure the greatest possible security with regard to the handling of your data. In order for you to know what personal data we collect from you and for what purposes we use it, we would ask you to read the following information thoroughly. In general, your data will be processed in accordance with the relevant legal provisions. If we use external service providers to carry out and handle processing operations, the same legal regulations apply to them.

Collection and processing of personal data

Aquin & Cie. AG (hereinafter “Aquin”) collects, uses and discloses your personal data, such as name and email address, only if you voluntarily choose to provide us with it, e.g. by subscribing to a newsletter, by contacting us via email or by ordering informational materials. In this case, Aquin will use your personal data to the extent necessary in each specific case. If you do not (or no longer) consent to such use, you can inform us at any time so that we can delete the data accordingly. You can find more information on this in the section “Your rights”.

If you have registered for our newsletter, the personal information you have entered will be used solely for the purpose of informing you at regular intervals about news relating to Aquin. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data at any time. You will find a link to this effect in every e-mail from us.

We will not pass on your data to third parties, with the exception of any service providers acting on our behalf, who may only use your data to the extent necessary for the service in question (e.g. sending the newsletter).

Career

You can also apply to Aquin electronically. We will, of course, only use your information to process your application and will not pass it on to third parties. Please note that unencrypted e-mails will not be transmitted without access protection.

Cookies

We use so-called cookies on various of our pages, which serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files. These are stored for technical session control in the temporary memory of the web browser or on the hard drive of the visitor to the website. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Some cookies remain on your computer as so-called “permanent cookies”. These can be called up during your next visits and enable the recognition of your browser as well as various service functions. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses.

In your browser settings, you can specify that cookies are rejected or deleted directly. However, you should note that individual functions of our websites may no longer be fully usable as a result.

Usage data

The web servers we use temporarily store every access to our website in a log file. The following data is collected and stored until automated deletion:

• IP address of the requesting computer
• Date and time of access
• Name and URL of the retrieved data
• Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
• Web browser and operating system used
• Website from which our homepage is accessed
• Amount of data transferred
• The usage data stored by the servers is not assigned to any natural person.

The log data is only used for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimization of the offer. However, we reserve the right to subsequently review the log data if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete indications.

The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data or the log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may happen that third-party content, such as maps from Google Maps or graphics from other websites, is integrated within this online offer. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) perceive the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is thus necessary for the display of this content. We endeavor to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the content. However, we have no influence if the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as this is known to us, we inform the users about it.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our websites is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event that IP anonymization is activated on our pages, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO or § 15 para. 3 TMG on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes. The storage period of the data is 26 months.

If you do not wish this, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

For more information about Google’s use of data for advertising purposes, settings and opt-out options, please visit Google’s websites: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners/ (“Google’s use of data when you use our partners’ websites or apps”), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“Use of data for advertising purposes”), http://www.google.de/settings/ads (“Manage information Google uses to show you ads”) and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ (“Determine what ads Google shows you”).

After clicking on the embedded text/image link, you will be redirected to the page of the respective provider. User information is only transferred to the respective provider after the forwarding. For information on the handling of your personal data when using these websites, please refer to the respective data protection provisions of the providers you use.

Insofar as the objection is directed against the processing of personal data for the purpose of direct marketing, you have a general right of objection without the requirement to specify a particular situation.
